Who we are
Canada Dental IT operates this website and is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. We provide IT services to dental clinics in British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan.
You can reach us at 130–889 Harbourside Drive, North Vancouver, BC V7P 3S1, Canada, or by phone at (604) 971-3001.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to respond to your consultation request and to keep this website working. We do not buy personal information and we do not sell yours.
Why we use it, and your consent
We use the information above to respond to your request, to arrange and deliver a consultation, to provide and secure this website, and to meet our legal obligations.
Canadian privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), is based on consent. By submitting the form you consent to us using your details to contact you about your request. You can withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us, and we will stop using your details for that purpose.
We do not use your information to make decisions about you by automated means alone, and we do not send marketing email without your express consent.
Where your information is processed
Some of our service providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. Information processed in another country is subject to that country's laws and may be accessible to its courts and authorities. We choose providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to Canadian law.
How long we keep it
We keep consultation requests for 24 months from our last contact with you, unless you ask us to delete them sooner or they become part of a client relationship, in which case they are kept for as long as that relationship and our legal and tax obligations require. Server logs are kept only as long as our hosting provider needs them for security.
Your rights and choices
You can ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent to our using it. We will respond within 30 days, and we may need to confirm your identity before acting.
To make a request, call us at (604) 971-3001 or write to us at 130–889 Harbourside Drive, North Vancouver, BC V7P 3S1, Canada.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in British Columbia, the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
Children
This website is intended for dental clinic owners and staff. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
How we protect it
The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and access to consultation requests is limited to the people who need it to respond to you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we will notify you and the relevant regulator as the law requires if a breach puts your information at real risk.
Links to other sites
This website may link to other websites, such as software vendors. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy does not apply to them.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised, and any material change will be made clear on this page.
